What improvements have been made over the last year? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

Over the past 12 months, we’ve made significant enhancements in Jira Cloud to improve efficiency and foster better collaboration between all teams through the entire lifecycle at work. New Rovo capabilities accelerate how teams are organizing and engaging with work items. Jira now provides more powerful options for building workflows to support any way of working and scaling best practices across teams and functions, all while meeting org-wide security, compliance and reporting requirements.

Confluence has become the premier collaborative workspace where knowledge becomes impact. We’ve released AI features that summarize pages and whiteboards, generate ideas, and organize content by theme - turning information into insight faster than ever. Whiteboards now support version history, public editing, and private mode, making real-time ideation seamless across teams. With Live Docs and Company Hub enhancements like dynamic cards, embedded JSM portals, and analytic insights Confluence is uniting teams and scaling knowledge with unprecedented agility.

Jira Service Management has redefined modern service delivery with AI-powered employee support, including purpose-built Human Resource Service Management (HRSM) capabilities, next-gen AIOps for dev and ops teams, and scalable, enterprise-grade asset management - all to enable smarter, faster service delivery for every team.

Bitbucket has invested in becoming the centerpiece of an AI-powered software development life cycle, with significantly improved collaboration functionality and has added a number of enterprise-focused enhancements and new capabilities.

  • Find and fix security vulnerabilities before you ship with native code scanning tools
  • Prevent unauthorized access with additional layers of security controls by using signed commits and enforced private workspaces.
  • New enhancements including dark mode, draft pull requests, ARM build support and more.

We’ve added new features to Guard Standard that make user access management simpler and more secure.

  • With single sign-on and two-factor authentication for external users and mobile app management policies, you can ensure only the right people get access, even when working with partners outside your company, no matter the location.
  • With public APIs, admins can streamline tasks, reduce repetitive work, and ensure consistent policy enforcement across all users.

These are just a handful of the improvements that have been made within the past year, with many more in the works. Be sure to check out the App Investments section and our Cloud Roadmap to see the latest features we’re building into our Cloud apps.

Why are you increasing the price of your apps? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

Atlassian is updating Cloud list prices to reflect the latest innovations now available across our apps and Cloud Platform. These capabilities are helping teams increase productivity, operate with greater context and alignment, and maximize their Atlassian investment like never before.

Here are just a few examples:

  • Jira is accelerating the flow of work thanks to redesigned work items, with 159 new features delivered. These include a reimagined list view, renaming of work item types, new public work intake forms, and custom project templates.
  • Confluence is rapidly becoming the collaborative workspace for all types of teams, thanks to 172 new features like new content types like whiteboards and databases, live docs, AI content suggestions, and end-user automation.
  • Jira Service Management is redefining modern service delivery with AI-powered support, including purpose-built HRSM capabilities with 30+ pre-built templates, request orchestration, and top HR integrations; end-to-end AIOps automating incident response from detection to resolution; and enterprise-grade asset management supporting 30x faster imports.
  • We’ve shipped over 49 new enterprise-grade capabilities to meet the needs of the world’s largest organizations. That includes doubling user limits for Jira to support 100k users and tripling site user limits for Confluence to 150k. We’ve expanded data residency coverage and added new compliance certifications like C5 and IRAP.
  • The Teamwork Graph, Atlassian’s data intelligence layer, now supports nearly 100 connectors, and has mapped over 10 billion data objects to power customers' cross-app automations, analytics, search, and AI.
  • The Atlassian Cloud Platform now includes productivity apps for all users: Home, Goals, and Teams, to reduce context switching and give users real-time visibility into the progress of work.

For even more details on new innovations now available, see the App Investments section.

Why is the price of Atlassian Teamwork Collection (TWC) increasing? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

Teamwork Collection (TWC) delivers even more value than Jira or Confluence apps on their own.

TWC helps customers accelerate speed to market, unlock business agility, and maximize technology ROI.

We continue to add capabilities to TWC designed to help break down silos, streamline workflows, and enhance coordination between technology and business teams – resulting in tangible value to your organization.

The TWC price increases also reflect in part the value-based price increases to its Jira and Confluence components.

Billing & licensing questions

How can I reduce my bill? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

If you’re looking to lower your monthly bill, here are a few strategies to consider:

  • Deactivate inactive users that aren’t using your cloud product(s) so they no longer count towards your monthly bill.
  • Convert to an annual subscription that may offer a discount of up to 2 months free on an annual basis, depending on the number of users purchased.

If you're looking to lower your annual bill, here are a few strategies to consider:

  • Deactivate inactive users that aren’t using your cloud product(s) to reduce your user count, and contact us when your renewal is due to downgrade to a lower tier.
  • If you own multiple Cloud Standard or Premium subscriptions of the same product, you may be able to save money on your bill by consolidating those into one Cloud Enterprise subscription. The Cloud Enterprise plans offer unlimited instances and a centralized per-user licensing model.
  • Consider an early renewal (see next FAQ for details).
Can I renew my Cloud subscription early? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

Customers with an annual cloud subscription automatically receive a no-obligation quote to renew their subscription 90 days before it expires, unless they have an existing quote for another product on the same site. Customers need to be within 90 days of their renewal window to purchase a renewal (even if it’s purchasing an additional year for a 2-year contract).

Customers on monthly plans cannot renew early unless they move to an annual plan. To move to an annual plan, please refer to “How do I sign up for annual payments?” Monthly customers can request an annual quote any time before October 15, 2025 PT, to receive existing pricing. Payment must be received before that quote expires, and the quote cannot be extended beyond November 13, 2025 PT.

If I already have a quote for an annual subscription with the old pricing, will you still honor it? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

If you created or received a quote for an annual subscription before October 15, 2025 PT, we will honor that quote under the existing pricing until the quote validity date lapses. Quotes generated on or after October 15, 2025 PT, will be based on the new pricing.

How do I calculate my monthly and/or annual price? Copy link to heading Copied! Show

A note on annual pricing:

Atlassian uses a fixed price tiered model for annual pricing. For example, Jira Standard with 450 users would be calculated at the 500 user tier for an annual cost of $36,500.

For additional clarity, consider the following scenario: If you add 75 users to your 450 users on Jira Standard, you would now have a total of 525 users on Jira Standard. This puts you in the 600 user tier at $43,000 annually - you would not pay for the 450 users and the 75 users separately in their respective tiers.

Please note that annual tiered pricing varies across Atlassian apps and plans.

A note on monthly pricing:

Atlassian uses a progressive per-user pricing model for monthly pricing. Progressive pricing is calculated using tier groups, each with a distinct per-user price. For example, Jira Cloud Standard with 450 users would be calculated as:

$9.05/user for users 1-100

$7.65/user for users 101-250

$6.40/user for users 251-450

The total monthly price equates to $3,332.50/month, or an average of $7.41/user.

Please note that monthly per-user pricing varies across Atlassian apps and plans.
