IRAP (Information Security Registered Assessors Program), initiated by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), offers a framework for assessing cybersecurity controls in Australian government agencies and organizations. Registered assessors evaluate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) system security per the Australian Government's requirements specified in the IRAP Protected Information Security Manual (ISM) developed by the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).

IRAP encompasses four classification levels, which provide a robust indication of compliance and trustworthiness for cloud providers. Atlassian has successfully attained the PROTECTED classification under the IRAP framework for its products, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management Cloud.

It is important to note that the IRAP Assessment Report is not a certification; rather, it represents the findings of an independent assessor regarding the extent to which Atlassian products and support systems adhere to the ISM December 2024 release.
